Oh my name it is nothin’
My age it means less
The country I come from
Is called the Midwest
I’s taught and brought up there
The laws to abide
And that land that I live in
Has God on its side.
Beauprez steals Campbell’s list as well…
I’m looking forward to hearing John “Mudslinger” Marshall’s apology to Holtzman
The only reason BB got into the Governor?s race was to cast a fundraising net wide enough to retire his old campaign debt.
Now that it is done BB will drop out of the Governors race.
If he was serious about the Governor’s race he’d be running on Issuses and not the type of campaign he has been engaged in for the Governor’s Office.
This is starting to be a real definition of character. MH and his staff are walking precincts for school board members and against C and D, BB and his staff are stealing lists.
That’s odd, it looks to me like Beauprez is actually running on issues and keeping things civil, while the Holtzman team continually engages in personal and character attacks on their opponent. Holtzman has even quit campaigning against C & D – all he ever does anymore is attack Beauprez.
Remember, guys – we have to be able to win in November, and it’s about more than just the Governor’s race.
BB campaign started it months back – MH campaign fires a shot accress their bow – and now they finally shut up. Hey – I have a suggestion for you, “think so”, pull the press clips from JUNE and you’ll see the BB campaign bringing this down to the gutter first.
Joe, I appreciate you’re support of Bob Beauprez — but you’re looking at this from the outside/in.
BTW – where are you today? At home? Because everyone else is out walking against C and D and helping school board candidates get elected in difficult districts. And delivering yard signs. And making volunteer phone calls.
We have another year to come back together — right now we should all be working to KILL C AND D.
From the Colorado Springs Gazette:Rep. Michael Merrifield, a Manitou Springs Democrat, is considering a bid for the Colorado Senate in 2006 against incumbent Republican Ed Jones. Merrifield said Friday that he is waiting for the results of a poll to help him decide whether he should give up his relatively safe House seat and toss his hat into what is almost certain to be a contentious and expensive Senate race. See http://www.gazette.com/display.php?id=1311074&secid=1
Today I finally remember to get an absentee ballot application, but the Colorado Elections Office Website is down. Somebody with connections go bug them, please.
Hooray! More corporate welfare for Big Oil! If we’re all lucky, the middle class taxpayers will start seeing results in 5-10 years. That string of record breaking profits across the oil industry just weren’t enough so now middle class taxpayers are going to fork over even more to the richest of the rich. Yippee! It’s a good thing that the GOP is so independent and has such firm control of spending, unlike those pesky special interest freaks from the Democratic party who just spend, spend, spend and are out of touch with the American heartland. What a victory for freedom and democracy. What a great day for America.
Since many of you knew Pancho Hays, I thought you might be interested in Chuck Green’s comments about him: http://www.chieftain.com/editorial/1128845994/5 I never met Pancho, but I met Wally Stealey and wished I could have taken some political science classes from him.

Caring For Creation
Bill Moyers
October 07, 2005
I don?t fit neatly into the job description of an environmental journalist, although I have kept returning to the beat ever since my first documentary on the subject some 30 years ago. That was a story about how the new Republican governor of Oregon, Tom McCall, had set out to prove that the economy and the environment could share the center lane on the highway to the future.
Those were optimistic years for the emerging environmental movement. Rachel Carson had rattled the cage with Silent Spring, and on the first Earth Day in 1970, 20 million Americans rose from the grassroots to speak for the planet. Even Richard Nixon couldn?t say no to so powerful a subpoena by public opinion, and he put his signature to some far-reaching measures for environmental protection………….

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF JOE REPUBLICAN
Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his
morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging
liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first
swallow of coffee, he takes his daily medication. His medications are
safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to insure their
safety and that they work as advertised.
All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer’s medical
plan because *some liberal* union workers fought their employers for
paid medical insurance – now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning
breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some
girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing
industry.
In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is
properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total
contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what
he was putting on his body and how much it contained.
Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes
is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for laws to
stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station
for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable
money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants
liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives
everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.
Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical
benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy
liberal union members fought and died for these working standards.
Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t
want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or
becomes unemployed, he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment
check because some stupid liberal didn’t think he should lose his home
or go hungry because of his temporary misfortune.
It’s noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some
bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some
godless liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers
who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.
Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his
below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided
that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and
earned more money over his lifetime.
Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his
farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is
among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought
for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the
third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers’ Home
Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The
house didn’t have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck
his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification.
He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on
Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking,
cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe
wouldn’t have to.
Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk
show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and
conservatives are good. He doesn’t mention that the beloved
Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys
throughout his day.
Joe agrees: “We don’t need those big-government liberals ruining our
lives! After all, I’m a self-made man who believes everyone should take
care of themselves, just like I have.”
Anything new on the Hefley watch? I’m hearing strong rumors that he is telling people is going to run one more time. Can anyone confirm?
I haven’t heard that but it will not be good news for Doug Lamborn. No one will remember him in two years.
I heard the same thing – Hefley will run once more. Poor Jeff Crank.
Anti C an D idiots have been destroying “vote yes on C and D” yard signs in my neighborhood. Just amazing these people. They are desperate and don’t know what to do anymores so they turn to violence!? Republicans… what can I say. They don’t know any better I guess?
VOTE YES on C and D!!!!!!!!!!!!! FORZA!!!

What do we want the united States to “look like” in 5 years, 10 years?
Sir Robin just proved there are dumb questions.
You obviously have no desire or energy to put into the question. Put up or shut up.
